The Olympics in Beijing started with an incredible opening ceremony and sadly have been accented with a murder of a U.S. citizen.

Thailand grabbed gold in the women’s weight lifting. Unfortunately, it’s a sporting event and not a beauty contest. If you have never been to Thailand or have never seen pictures of Thai females, know that they don’t resemble Russian wrestlers.

Some of the most incredible looking women are in the Kingdom of Thailand. You just have to trust me on this one.

Since there are many events to go, who knows how many (if any) more gold medals the Thai people will win?

Bigger than the Olympic news here, is the news that the former Prime Minister of Thailand and his wife have taken refuge in London, refusing to return to the Kingdom and leaving over a billion dollars in assets behind, along with their children.

The source of much of the political tension is gone and the financial market is showing a positive reaction; first on the rumor of the exile and then the fact that he and his wife missed their Thai return flight.

While it was happening, it was denied and the financial market retreated, only to bounce back on confirmation.

Thailand, it’s more than just a country in Asia, it’s an amazing experience.
